Reviews and Ratings
Staying at the Commodore for a week was a fantastic experience. The rooms offered great views of the waterfront, marina, and Table Mountain, and they were very comfortable with good storage and a bathroom. The bed provided a cozy night's sleep, but there was a need for better soundproofing. The service was top-notch, with staff looking after me as a woman traveling alone and being extremely friendly and accommodating. The location was perfect for those wanting to be close to the V&A Waterfront, offering an easy and safe walk to shopping and dining spots. The dining experience was exceptional, with a wide variety of options for breakfast and outstanding made-to-order eggs. The facilities were well-maintained, but there were occasional issues with the temperature control in the dining room. Overall, the Commodore offered a great stay with a few minor room imperfections.
The hotel offers a lovely stay with great views of Table Mountain and delicious food and service, although there were occasional disturbances by people, deliveries, and early morning buses. The service was amazing and very helpful. The location is perfect for exploring the Waterfront area and enjoying easy access to various attractions, but there were concerns about water/shower facilities. The dining experience was exceptional at Willoughby and Co, with a wide array of options to choose from.
The hotel offers clean, spacious, and comfortable rooms with lovely views of Table Mountain. The service is friendly and attentive, catering to various needs for a pleasant stay. The location is ideal for exploring the Waterfront and other attractions, though some communication issues were noted. The dining experience, while of good quality, could benefit from more variety. Overall, a nice stay with a few minor drawbacks.
My stay at the hotel was a mix of great and not-so-great experiences. The rooms were of very good quality, with a lovely large comfortable bed and all the conveniences expected, but being right opposite the cleaners' cupboard meant constant noisy activity early in the mornings. On the positive side, the hotel's fantastic location at the vibrant Waterfront with its great restaurants created a fabulous atmosphere and vibe.
Staying at this hotel was a fantastic experience overall. The location was ideal for exploring the waterfront and accessing various attractions. The rooms were spacious and well-equipped, providing a comfortable stay. The service was exceptional with friendly and helpful staff. However, the dining options fell short of expectations. The pricing offered good value for the experience.
The hotel offers simple and comfortable rooms, lovely food, and good service, although some rooms lack views and are a bit tired. It is conveniently located near the V & A Waterfront, with a beautiful carp pond nearby, perfect for exploring the city's attractions.
My stay at the hotel was a mixed experience. The rooms had a view towards Table Mountain and a tiny balcony, but unfortunately flooded as soon as we turned on the shower. They were a little small but clean and well-appointed, although they definitely need a makeover. The service was a bit of a hit and miss - while Shireen, Elizabeth, and the restaurant Maitre D made all guests feel special, there was a clear issue with one staff member not being truthful. The location was superb, especially if you want to be close to the V & A Waterfront. The dining experience, however, was outstanding with a wide variety of choices. The hotel facilities were good overall, but could benefit from some improvements.
My stay at the hotel was truly exceptional! The room was not only large and spacious but also offered incredible views, especially of Table Mountain, making it extremely comfortable. The vibrant Waterfront with its array of restaurants created a fabulous atmosphere and vibe for a memorable stay.
My stay at the hotel was overall pleasant. The rooms were spacious, clean, and well-appointed with a lovely balcony overlooking Table Mountain and the Wheel, although there was some noise from neighbors. The service was professional and accommodating. The location was excellent, just a short walk from the Waterfront. The dining options were varied and satisfying, and the facilities were well-maintained.
